Hello and Welcome!
I am the founder of Purposeful Practices, LLC as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Yoga Teacher. I earned my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University in 2009 and received my 200 level yoga certification from Yoga Source in St. Louis in 2016.
My clinical background since beginning my Masters program has included working at the University as a substance abuse prevention and education specialist, at community mental health agencies as a children's case manager, and later, as an adolescent therapist, and at an eating disorders treatment center as a primary individual & group therapist for adolescents and adults.
Purposeful Practices, LLC was established in 2017 with the intention of providing integrative, outpatient mental health services to the community. After recognizing the positive impact on my life from my own experiences with yoga, I decided to pursue yoga certification, and I made it my goal to incorporate yoga, mindfulness, and meditation into my counseling approach.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and pets, traveling, hiking, yoga (of course!), writing, and reading.
I look forward to connecting with you!
